Infancy to Toddlerhood

I'm a first time mommy, so every transition of my daughter's life is so new to me.  Recently, Baby C turned 1.  No longer an infant, but a new, little toddler.  And so many changes have come with it.  She's more independent now, but clingy at the same time.  She's fighting her naps, but doesn't know what to do with her crankiness.  And she's working on her balance and taking those cute, little baby steps.  Baby C's dance moves and singing are out of this world!  My husband and I just look at each other and laugh, wondering where she learns this stuff.

We started weening from the bottle and formula last week and replaced her two middle, day time feedings, with organic whole milk and a sippy cup.  Baby C has finally accepted drinking out of the sippy cup, but still won't hold it herself.  I know she'll do it in her time, not mine.  Just like everything else.  Meal times can be challenging.  The foods she loved yesterday are thrown on the floor today.  And I'm left to wonder if she's getting enough to eat.

Even though I will miss the infant years, I am excited for all the fun we will have as Baby C grows and develops through her toddler years.  I can't wait to hear her say her first words and run around with her on the playground!

Do you have any toddler tips for this mommy?  I'd love to learn anything from fun food recipes to games and activities that I can do with Baby C.
