Anxiety {One Thousand Gifts}

I started getting really bad anxiety my freshman year of college.  I didn't know what it was at the time, but it came in the form of pain in my chest and back, and I had trouble catching my breathe.  It mostly came when I was sleeping and would wake me up in the night.  And often came during stressful and worrisome times.  I still struggle once in a while with it, but I've learned to lean more on God, instead of my own earthly powers.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your path straight.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Do you ever struggle with anxiety?  What do you do for help?

  2. When I first started dating my husband he had what you are describing. His mother would giggle when it would come on because she knew that he was going to marry me and she knew he was afraid to tell them. I forgot about all that until I read your description. Love that about blogging, the way it makes us think differently. Nice to visit here through Ann's place.
