Back-To-School Prayer

There are three times a year that are always a fresh start for me.  They include the obvious, New Years, Easter and the beginning of the school year.  Baby C isn't yet old enough to attend school, but as a former teacher (and student), I can appreciate the excitement and new beginning.  So as the new school year begins, I thought it was important to pray for all students, teachers and even parents, to have a successful school year.

Dear Jesus,

Please bless all children in this new school year.  Give them strength to learn, concentrate and act in love towards their classmates.  Watch over them at home and at school.  When days become challenging, grant them peace and relaxation, knowing that Your patience, wisdom and courage is excellent in every way.  Guide them in their mind, thoughts and body so they may use the knowledge gained to build your kingdom.  We thank you for this new school year and ask that you bless the students, families and faculty that make school such a wonderful place.
