What's In My Diaper Bag?

It's no surprise that when you enter motherhood, you inherit a diaper bag.  What's in my diaper bag?   Two years ago, what was inside was a bit different then what I have today.  And there isn't anything exciting in here either, just the essentials.  And lots of them!

In my diaper bag, you'll find a pocket full of snacks for Baby C.  It usually consists of Cheddar Bunnies, Yogurt Bites, Fruit and Veggie Purees and Granola Bars.  The other pockets hold a changing pad, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, and diaper cream.  And the main pocket holds spare clothes, mittens, winter jacket, hat and sweater for Baby C.  The outside side pockets holds 2 water bottles, one for me and one for Baby C.

Yes, my diaper bag is HUGE and it holds all of that.  Sometimes I feel like I'm lugging a suitcase around.  But I wouldn't have it any other way.  I would rather be prepared for an emergency then be stranded and not have what we need, for Baby C, at least.

What's in your diaper bag?  Do you carry the essentials or do you have something silly to share?

  1. Thanks for linking up! I too feel like I'm lugging around a suitcase. That's a great looking bag though. I wish I had something exciting in ours, but really it's just the essentials.

  2. I (Zi) only carry essentials now in my diaper bag and depending on where we are going and for how long, I will pack changes of clothes and other extras in a separate bag. With 4 kids, I would literally need a suitcase if I had to carry all that stuff for all the kids!

    1. Oh Zi! I can only imagine. With four kids, you must pack what's most important!

  3. At least it's a beautiful suitcase! We only carry a diaper bag if we are going out for a few hours -- a few diapers, wipes, and changing pad. Other random stuff is face/hand lotion, sani wipes, and a $1 puzzle and crayons. Thank goodness we don't carry around milk in bottles anymore! Occasionally we'll pack juice and snacks if we know we're going somewhere where those aren't available. Gosh, in just a few short months, we'll probably need a change of clothes for J (who hopefully will be potty training) and for the newborn (who may have blow outs). Also add a lot more diapers and definitely breast milk or formula.

  4. I am not looking forward to packing and hauling a diaper bag again. Since we cloth diaper, I always have extra diapers and wet bag. I typically keep a change of clothes and extras in the car. And I guess I will need my nursing cover again. Oh and my favorites...A & A blankets. I have to have them!
